Celina Minor League Pickleball
8am Saturday, April 25, 2026
Celina Pickleball is hosting a Minor League Pickleball tournament on Saturday, April 25, 2026 starting at 8am.
The format will be eight MLP-style mixed teams of 4 to 8 players per team in a double-elimination bracket.
All players must have DUPR ratings in the 3.5 to 4.5 range or be approved by the tournament directors.
Each round of the tournament will consist of 4 mandatory games to 11, win by 1:
- Women's doubles
- Men's doubles
- Mixed doubles 1st pair
- Mixed doubles 2nd pair
Each team may take one 1-minute timeout per game.
If the teams split the wins 2-2, a tie-breaker game of rally-scoring singles will be played.
Before the tie-breaker begins the team captains decide the order their players will take the court.
Team captains are allowed to use 4, 6, or 8 players in the tie-breaker, but the number of men and women must be equal (i.e. 2, 3, or 4).
Players rotate after every 4 points.
The first team to 21 points wins the tie-breaker and the round.
If a player becomes injured and is unable to complete a game, the opposing team is awarded all remaining unplayed points.
Tournament Cost
$40 per player.
