Celina Pickleball BANG BANG 2022

Description

This is a free, double-elimination pickleball tournament open only to members of the Celina Pickleball Group.
There will be Men's, Women's, and Mixed Doubles divisons for two skill levels (Advanced and Intermediate).
There will be awards for the top 3 teams in each division.

Tournament Results

Cost

  • Free.
  • Must be a member of the Celina Pickleball Group in good standing to participate.

Tournament Ball

  • Dura Fast 40 (neon)

Format

  • Double-elimination.
  • All winner's bracket games will be shootout-style (most total points wins the match) two games to 11 win by one with ties (same number of total points) decided by a 3rd game to 7 win by one.
  • All loser's bracket games will be one game to 15 win by one.
  • All Gold Medal matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2.

Referees

  • All matches will be self-officiated by the players on the court.
  • Players must document the match (player names and game results) on the provided tournament score sheet.
  • Please make sure one player from each team initials the scoresheet before turning it in at the tournament director's table.
  • All calls, including keeping track of the score, are the responsibility of the players.
  • Please be as fair and considerate as possible.
  • If a team is unable to make a call, the call must favor the opposing team.

Tournament Referee

  • Disputes should be resolved by the teams on the court if at all possible.
  • Otherwise, either team may call for the tournament referee (Paul Puttonen) to make a final decision.

Timeouts

  • One 1-minute timeout per game is allowed.
  • Players are responsible for keeping track of their timeouts and keeping the timeouts brief.
  • From time to time a train will pass by the courts and it is LOUD. As a courtesy to all players, please suspend play briefly until the train passes.
